Dr Gabriella Birley is a GMC registered Doctor and founder of The Doctor Clinic, she graduated from Warwick University with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery.

Prior to this she has graduated from Manchester University with an honours degree in Law and studied Medical Law and Ethics MSc. She further went on to study a masters in Global Health at Brighton and Sussex Medical School. Dr. Gabriella has a passion for continuous learning and is always updating her skills and knowledge.

Dr. Gabriella is passionate about aesthetic medicine specialising in aesthetic medicine and anti-ageing treatments . Her approach is less is more with gentle tweakments to achieve natural yet effective results enhancing the patient’s natural own features.

Michael Wearne

Mr Michael J Wearne is a UK trained eye surgeon who was appointed as Consultant Ophthalmologist and Oculoplastic Surgeon in March 2000 and has worked full time for East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust (ESHT) ever since.

With over 23 years of experience as a consultant surgeon he is highly experienced in performing routine and complex cataract surgery, including the use of toric and multifocal lens implants in selected patients. In addition Mr Wearne has considerable expertise in eyelid, orbital and lacrimal conditions.

Mr Wearne had a lengthy UK training having initially trained as an Optometrist, gaining a 1st class Honours Degree in Ophthalmic Optics, prior to studying Medicine at Birmingham University. Mr Wearne spent all 6yrs of his higher surgical training at the world famous Moorfields Eye Hospital, London, finishing at Moorfields by completing a 12 month Fellowship in Oculoplastic and Lacrimal surgery.

Mr Wearne is currently College Tutor for Ophthalmology at ESHT. He has a Certificate in Medical Education and for many years he has had an active teaching role in the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, London. He is a Senior Surgical Tutor in the RCOphth Skills Centre and runs annual Basic and Intermediate Microsurgical Training Courses. In addition Mr Wearne has been an Examiner for the Royal College of Ophthalmologists for many years. He regularly attends and participates in National and International Ophthalmology Meetings. He has presented widely and has numerous publications in peer review eye Journals.

Huw Oliphant

Huw is a consultant ophthalmic surgeon, specialising in oculoplastic surgery.
He works full time practising at the Sussex Eye Hospital, Brighton, University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust, Lewes and Eastbourne.

He is a comprehensively trained eye surgeon, having performed thousands of eye operations. He performs routine and complex cataract surgery in his NHS practice, and also spends considerable time working in the Ophthalmic Accident and Emergency department at the Sussex Eye Hospital.
He has undertaken two fellowships in oculoplastic (eyelid), lacrimal (watery eye) and orbital (eye socket) surgery at Brighton and then the Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle. Both world renowned institutions for this subspecialty.

Huw is heavily involved in education of medical students and junior doctors. He leads the undergraduate programme for ophthalmology at Brighton and Sussex Medical School, where he is an honorary lecturer.

Dr Charlie Thompson

Dr. Charlie Thompson is a GMC registered Consultant Rheumatologist at Brighton and Sussex University Hospital and a senior lecturer at Brighton and Sussex Medical school.

Dr Charlie has over 14 years experience, having graduated in medicine in 2008, she was accredited into the Royal College of Physicians in 2012. She spent five years specialising in Rheumatology, which deals with chronic pain as well as auto-immune and inflammatory disease and completed a research doctorate in medicine, awarded in 2017 with the University of Cardiff. Dr Charlie also specialises in anti-wrinkle treatments and dermal fillers. The non-surgical and non-invasive aesthetics treatments that she offers, are performed as an extension of her clinical practice, where she upholds meticulous medical and safety standards. For the past 7 years, Kelly has focused on laser and light based therapies gaining her level 4 qualifications with distinction. Kelly’s calm and caring nature combined with her drive for results driven treatments ensure her patients leave looking and feeling their best.

Jemima has been specialising in Marketing within the Beauty and Aesthetics industry since graduating in 2020. Freelancing with clinics and salons up and down the south coast she is an expert in her field!
